Vladimir Sokolov, Sr. Mr. Vladimir Sokolov, Sr. was born in former Yugoslavia. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Ljubljana, Department for Electro-Techniques (low-tension current) on September 20, 1963. He earned a BS degree in electro-engineering and, with his thesis, reached a Slovene education level of "university graduate engineer for low-tension current".

As a professional, Mr. Sokolov earned several specializations in the USA, Germany, England, Switzerland, Austria and Yugoslavia, the training for each of which lasted anywhere from one month to a year. He attended several important annual professional trade shows around the world.

Mr. Sokolov was a senior director of research and development, responsible for many large projects for major companies, the military and telecommunication of the country. Some of the major projects that Mr. Sokolov planned, drafted and for the most part supervised construction are:
  • The construction of a general plan for a nationwide public alarm system in the former Yugoslavia, as well as public alarm systems of several larger cities, in particular, Ljubljana, Zagreb and Belgrade. These systems are still working flawlessly after more than 20 years of operation.

  • Execution of a reliable and secure alarm system for the "Marshal's Office" in Belgrade. The system was used by the elite president's guard which protected Marshal Tito and the capital of the nation.

  • The telecommunication system with code name "Neptun". This system covers almost 500 km of the Adriatic coast, connecting all army telecommunication centers and radar stations.

  • Mr. Sokolov was a chief designer, architect and supervisor of works for technical protection and premises security at the Nuclear Electric Plant in Krško (NEK). Recently Mr. Sokolov collaborated in the execution of the upgrade and modernization of NEK in the capacity of an independent technical consultant.

  • His last significant engineering jobs were an electronic computerized bus station in Zagreb and the testing of computerized information equipment for the international airport Sochi on the Black Sea coast (USSR).

  • After 1990, Mr. Sokolov worked as an independent entrepreneur. He was a consultant, architect, supervisor and contractor for projects in telecommunication and informational systems for Slovenian government and companies, as well as companies from America, Germany, Switzerland, Japan and Australia. During this time Mr. Sokolov has actively worked on the research and development of Mega Project 3EET.
Mr. Sokolov is now living and working in Slovenia.
